Happy May everyone! For a lot of April I’ve been pretty inactive in the Blogging circle, I’m not even sure if I can explain why.
I’m back though and although it’s not a very wordy post as I’ve lost a little bit of inspiration, it’s still a post and it counts!
I’ve been back in the UK for a month now and although for the most part I’ve been working, I have enjoyed being back and in a fast paced environment. It also gave me chance to buy my very own entry level camera. For the time being it’s a hobby but once I start to understand everything a little bit more, I’m hoping to take things a little further with it.
This first month with my camera has been great but I’m excited to give it a whirl in June when I return to Corfu (hopefully along with some other adventures!)
For the time being, here are some of my favourite photos taken on my brand spanking new Nikon d3500:
Hugo Boss
York in Bloom
The Minster Behind a Hedge
Goose on the Loose
The Generic Shot of Knaresborough Viaduct
Clifford’s Tower
Summer Orange
Ye Olde Streets of York
How to Dog:
York Minster
Hugo Made a Friend
Can’t decide if this fellow is Greek or Roman. On first thoughts I decided he may be Hermes as he appears to have the winged feet however there’s a lot of Roman/Viking impact in York so much is up for debate there!
Spring Feels
New Kid on the Block
My Very First Photo.
These are just a few practice photos, some are taken on Automatic and others I have played around a little to get a better image. It’s such a new hobby to me that just getting used to how the camera works is a task in itself.
But at this point it’s trial and error and some exploring in my spare time. Let me know what you think in the comments. I’m really nervous to be sharing these with everyone!
P. S for anyone who is interested, the Spaniel in these pictures is my friends new rescue pup, if you love spaniels or the idea of rescuing a dog, check them out here: saveourspaniels.org.uk
I don’t make anything from this link or have any sort of association with the organisation, it’s purely because I have a love for dogs and will always promote a rescue 😊🐶
Great shots, Jess! Looks lovely! xx

Your photos look fantastic. Good job. I like how you’ve thought about the titles of each one too.

Thank you! I feel like they deserve title’s as they’re my very first pieces of a hopefully brilliant future with photography!
I don’t care if they’re right or wrong or the angle isn’t perfect or whatever, they’re mine and they feel special enough to have a name 😁💗

Aww thank you! It’s so daunting because I feel like it’s an extra limb that I don’t know how to use 😂 but practice makes perfect (or better than I am now haha) x

York is a lovely city. I’m curious as to why you went knaesborough as it’s so small.

Because Knaresborough is my hometown!
